Ode to Caffeine

6844929-cappuccino-wallpaper.jpg

Caffeine, my love
Today we part ways
No more will you make my heart beat faster
Speed my chatter
Or make my hands shake…

The constant giddiness is too much for me
The shake in my hands affects my phot-og-ra-phy
And I talk too much anyway

Goodbye, my love
I’ll try to remember…..the good times

***This poem is dedicated to my friend and fellow social scientist Reginald D. Hunter.

Sitting in the best seat in town

Keeping you safe is my only thought now

I have a headache, an earache, and chills ripple through my body

But I keep you entertained and laughing
